BIO- Europe Conference 2009

Medevol Ltd attended the BIO Europe conference Vienna Nov 2-4^th 2009, as part of the wider UKTI delegation. This event is the largest life science partnering event outside the US. With over 2500 delegates we had the opportunity to meet with a wide variety of companies who target different stages of the drug development process. These conferences afford us the opportunity to show case Northern Ireland as a country that can deliver excellent data within challenging timelines and at a competitive cost.

Annual Best Practice in Phase 1V and Observational Research Conference

The Phase 1V Clinical and Observational Research Conference was held in Prague on December 3-4^th 2009. This meeting was attended by an excellent representation of Sponsor companies and provided Medevol with valuable insights into research trends today in Western Europe. The need for the UK to be mindful of the increasing competition from emerging markets was evident as is the need for us to reduce our costs by increasing our efficiencies and reducing our timelines for delivery of trials.

Medevol Investigator Meeting-Autumn 2009

In October 2009, Medevol hosted their 2nd twice-annual Investigator Meeting. It was held in Belfast’s historical Titanic Dock & Pump House, close to Medevol’s offices. Medevol provided training on GCP Updates and Audit Awareness and are delighted to report that it was a huge success, attracting over 50 researchers from the primary and secondary care sectors. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who attended.

ICR Conference and Exhibition- London 2010

In Spring next year, Medevol are to attend the Institute of Clinical Research’s Annual Conference and Exhibition. The conference will be held in London over the 19th and 20th April 2010. The theme of the meeting will be ”Science, Society and Economics- Shaping the Future of Clinical Research”. We look forward to it and hope to see you there.

New Chief Operating Officer at Medevol

After 17 years in the pharmaceutical business, her most recent post being with Pfizer Ltd, Colette has taken up post as Chief Operating Officer at Medevol Ltd., a UK based CRO. Based in her home town of Belfast, Colette is excited at the opportunity to use her expertise to help shape future developments in this exciting company.
